When you request investor access or send an enquiry, we receive the details you type into the form: your name, organisation, email address, the option you choose and any message. If you email us instead, we receive whatever you send. We do not collect anything from your device beyond what your browser sends with any web request.
To reply to you, to send you what you asked for, and to keep a record of who has received investor materials, which we are expected to hold as a company raising investment. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: answering a request you made and running the company responsibly.
Form submissions may pass through a form-handling service that delivers them to our email; that provider processes the data on our instructions. Our email is hosted by a UK provider. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, and we do not send marketing.
Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for up to two years afterwards, then deleted. Records of who received investor materials are kept for as long as the company is raising or holds investment, because they may be needed for regulatory or audit purposes.
The investor area opens with a passcode from a personal invitation. The passcode is checked in your own browser and is not sent to us; your browser remembers it until you close the tab or choose "Lock this page". When an invitation opens the investor area we record the date and time, which invitation was used, the type of device and which sections were opened, so that we know our investor materials have been received and can follow up. We do not store your IP address.
If we use website analytics, we use a service that does not set cookies and does not identify individuals. It tells us how many people visited and which pages they read, nothing about who they are.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to our using it. Email hello@thelightsaver.com and we will respond within a month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
